Gladstone Region Environmental Advisory Network (GREAN)

PCCC Tumra Committee

Port Curtis Coral Coast Regional TUMRA (Traditional Use of Marine Resources Agreement) was developed under the Reef Rescue Land and Sea Country Indigenous Partnerships Program.

The PCCC Regional TUMRA is the fifth and largest agreement of its kind – it covers an area almost ten times the size of Canberra and the Australian Capital Territory or 26,386km2.

The TUMRA area extends from Burrum Heads, south of Bundaberg, north to the mouth of the Fitzroy River and includes Curtis Island off Gladstone.

Dhou Woolkoom

Dhou Woolkoom Indigenous Corporation is a Gooreng Gooreng organisation based in Gladstone. “Dhou Woolkoom” (Dow wool-koom) means Landband Sea in Gooreng Gooreng traditional language, and their mission is to ensure their future generations play a role in managing the land and season their traditional country now and into the future. They provide a range of services including cultural advice, indigenous business development, and environmental services within the Gladstone region and Gooreng Gooreng traditional country.
